Live Guerrilla Music Marketing Workshop Audio Clip

As part of my new effort to enhance the way you get useful information from my blog and web sites, here's a six-minute audio segment from a live workshop I did last year in Nashville. On it I cover "Building a Solid Foundation" for a long-term independent music career. Enjoy!

Very cool Bob, amazing actually. I think there needs to be more discussion and more focus put on the need for artists to figure out just who they are and what their place is in the world before they go out and promote themselves. What seems to bring many artists down is not the lack of great music, and maybe not even the lack of a great plan, but that internal struggle of not really knowing who they truly are as an artist. You can’t possibly convince people to be attracted to your music and your art if you don’t know yourself if that’s really who you are and what you want to represent.

Also enjoyed when you spoke about a more positive mindset, and not promoting your self as a ‘starving artist’, because then your brain will become focused on that and you (and everyone you tell) will start to believe that you have to struggle to be an artist, which just isn’t true. Great stuff...
