I Want My Bob TV

This just in ... My first-ever music video is available for your viewing and listening pleasure.

I say "viewing pleasure" with hesitation, because I cringe every time I see myself in this. Hopefully, your response won't be so unnerving.

My longtime pal Lee Mueller produced this video for a film editing class he took this past semester. It's to an original song I wrote and recorded last year called "Sin Is On Your Face." The girl in the video is our theatre friend Liz Landeau.

Enjoy. And thanks to Lee and Liz for their generous work on this!

You can also view the file at Google Video.

Bob:

I viewed your "Sin Is On Your Face" video.

It is excellent....everything about it.

As I was watching it, I thought of an idea for a future Bob Baker book, "How to Create Your Own Music Video".

Unsigned Bands and solo artits would gladly buy a copy.

I have a MP3 audio file of my original song, a JVC Camcorder, and some different video editing software.

The software I've used on my Windows XP Home edition PC do not allow the techniques that were used in your video.

Please write a book about how it was created so we will be able to create our own music video and then post it to MySpace, YouTube, send as a e-mail, upload it to our own webpages, etc.

Great song with a fun video. Well done. And I'll second the vote for a book on making your own video.

Bob,

Really a fun video! Good song too. Like the idea of a book about homemade music video. Would work for other solo acts. Like wonderful storytelling!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments! Perhaps I'll convince Bob that "How To Shoot A Music Video" should be his next publication. I shot the video on Panasonic AG-DVC7 -that was "checked out" from the College Library. (free) It was edited on AVID software at home. Note: -the software I got on a Student Discount: (not quite free but cheap) The only real production expense was the Mini-DV tape I shot it on. That's it. My secrets revealed. Well, some of my secrets. The rest may be in the book.

Bob,
Cool song. I enjoyed the video. I could also see this song in a darker setting like at a club or bar. Keep up the great work.
Tim.
